NCI is housed at the Elkhart Chamber of Commerce in downtown Elkhart. NCI is an umbrella organization networking between and coordinating other business assistance programs. Through NCI, new and existing businesses can access direct assistance in all aspects of starting and operating a business including identifying sources of business financing. NCI can connect you with the following programs:

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)- Provides no cost, short term/long term counseling through a staff of experienced business professionals. Counseling is provided either through individual advising or mentoring and workshops and seminars in the following areas: research, finances, and business planning, exporting and funding services. SBDC also offers classes in business plan writing using the NxLevel for Entrepreneurs program and the Collegiate Management Assistance program which partners students and businesses to achieve business objectives.

SCORE is a national network of business executives and business owners eager to share their knowledge and expertise. SCORE volunteers are men and women representing many facets of business. These counselors have experience with a vast array of problems and situations including: purchasing, accounting, sales, marketing, finance, and planning. SCORE helps hundreds of clients a year, all confidentially, and at no charge.
